Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8.03.2026
This policy explains what personal information Collier’s Magazine, published by LNN USA (“we”, “us”), collects about you, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Who is responsible for your information
The data controller is Colliers Magazine, New Jersey, United States. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described below, contact ColliersMagazine@LNNUSA.com.
What we collect
- Account and subscription details — your name, email address, billing and delivery address, telephone number if you provide one, the plan you bought, and your order and renewal history.
- Payment information — payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of payment and limited card details such as the card type and last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.
- Content you send us — messages sent through our contact form, editorial submissions, and correspondence with our newsroom or support team.
- Technical and usage information — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring site, collected through server logs and analytics.
- Saved articles — the stories you save to your account.
Why we use it
We use your information to fulfil and deliver your subscription, take payment and manage renewals, provide customer support, send service messages such as renewal reminders and order confirmations, maintain the security and integrity of the Site, understand how the Site is used so we can improve it, and comply with our legal and tax obligations.
Where we rely on consent — for example, for marketing email or non-essential tracking — you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Marketing
We will only send you marketing email if you have asked to receive it, or where we are otherwise permitted to do so as an existing subscriber. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by emailing ColliersMagazine@LNNUSA.com.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the magazine, and only as far as they need it: our web host, our payment provider, our email delivery provider, our print and mailing house, and our analytics provider. Each is bound to protect your information and to use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where required by law or to establish or defend legal claims. We do not sell your personal information.
Tracking technologies
The Site uses small files stored on your device to keep you signed in, remember the contents of your basket, and measure how the Site is used. Strictly necessary items are required for the Site to work. Others are optional and are used only with your consent, which you can change at any time through the preferences link in the footer.
How long we keep it
We keep subscription and order records for as long as your subscription is active and afterwards for [X] years, to meet accounting and tax requirements. Contact-form messages are kept for [X] months. Server logs are kept for [X] days. Where information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and certain other US states have specific rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email ColliersMagazine@LNNUSA.com. We will respond within the period required by law.
Security
The Site is served over an encrypted connection and access to subscriber data is restricted to staff and providers who need it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we will notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires it.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and your information is processed there. If you are outside the United States, be aware that data protection law in the US may differ from the law where you live. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and we will tell you about significant changes by email or a notice on the Site.
Contact and complaints
Write to ColliersMagazine@LNNUSA.com with any question or complaint. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to your local data protection authority.
