Independent. Investigative. Intentionally American.

Since 1888, Collier's has documented the heartbeat of the nation, championing the truth and the art of the story.

Our History

In 2025, we—Bobby Capoferri and Craig Richards—stood at the threshold of a legacy. When LNN USA, our New Jersey–based media company, acquired Collier’s Magazine, we weren’t just purchasing a title. We were inheriting a piece of American cultural history—a publication that once defined the national conversation, shaped public opinion, and gave voice to the country’s most compelling storytellers.

Founded in 1888, Collier’s Weekly was more than a magazine. It was a mirror to the American experience.

From investigative journalism that exposed corruption and injustice, to fiction that captured the imagination of generations, Collier’s was a trusted companion in homes across the country. It championed reform, celebrated innovation, and offered a platform for writers like Jack London, Upton Sinclair, and Ernest Hemingway. It was bold, curious, and unafraid to challenge the status quo.

As new stewards of this storied brand, our mission is clear: to return Collier’s to its roots—not by looking backward, but by honoring its original spirit in a modern context. That means content that is fearless, thoughtful, and deeply engaged with the American moment. We believe in journalism that informs and inspires, fiction that stirs the soul, and commentary that invites dialogue rather than division.

Under the banner of Collier’s, we are building a publication that reflects the complexity and promise of our time. Our editorial vision blends legacy and relevance: long-form reporting, cultural essays, serialized fiction, and visual storytelling that speaks to both tradition and innovation. We are assembling a diverse roster of contributors—writers, artists, thinkers—who share our commitment to excellence and civic engagement.

This relaunch is not just a revival. It’s a recommitment to the values that made Collier’s indispensable: integrity, curiosity, and a belief in the power of the written word to shape a better future. We invite you to join us as we write the next chapter—one that honors the past, embraces the present, and looks boldly toward tomorrow.

Welcome back to Collier’s.
